1.0 Introduction
This file contains last-minute updates that are not found in the User's
Guide or in any addendum accompanying the display adapter. Please read
this file before proceeding with the installation.

2.0 Software Installation
a. Insert the XCLAIM GA Installation Diskette;
b. double-click the XCLAIM™ GA Installer icon and follow the instructions
to install the latest ATI Displays software; and
c. re-start your computer for the changes to take effect.

3.0 Installation Notes
Version 1.2 of the XCLAIM™ GA Installer will install the following items onto
your system:
1. ATI Displays version 1.2
2. ATI Extension version 1.1.1
3. ATI Guide version 1.1
4. Graphics Accelerator version 1.0.7x
The ATI Displays Control Panel (version 1.2) now supports the latest 'Monitor & Sound'
control panel in MacOS 7.5.3 ( 7.5 Update 2.0).
The ATI Guide (version 1.1) now does coachmark correctly in Finder's menu. Also, a problem with the ATI Displays support dialog box has been corrected.
The Graphics Accelerator (version 1.0.7x) contains a correction for improper tool bar display within WordPerfect™ 3.5 for Macintosh. Also, a problem with intensive get/set bit operations has been corrected.

4.0 Known Problems
1. Multiple Video Cards and DeskScape
Be careful while using multiple video cards and DeskScape. After
enabling DeskScape, enter the Apple Menu/Control Panels/Monitors
Control Panel to ensure the overall desktop (distributed over
several video cards) is arranged appropriately. Upon exit of the
monitors control panel, the desktop is refreshed to the correct
state.
2. Selection of Display Types
If you have a VGA display and the model name is not listed in the
ATI Displays control panel, refer to your monitor's specifications
and select one of the generic VGA displays that best matches its
resolution capabilities. For example, Multi frequency 13-14",
Multi frequency 15-17", Multi frequency 19-20" and Multi frequency
21".
3. Screen Sizing and Positioning
If the screen positioning is incorrect after changing display
resolutions or refresh rates, you must manually adjust your VGA
display controls. Please consult the owners manual for your
display.
4. Popup Menu and Hot Keys
Popup Menu and Hot Keys will remain inactive during the display of
a dialog window. For example, while using the Monitors & Sound application
under MacOS 7.5.3, the Popup Menu and Hot Keys are disabled.
